Spring Team, Inc., formerly Schultz Mechanical Wire Company, was founded in 1969 and has been managed by our current management team since 1990.  In April 2003, we incorporated the assets of Sanborn Wire Products, Inc. within our facility in Austinburg.   Sanborn Wire Products was a locally owned spring company whose assets blended well into our organization to create a stronger and more versatile company. 

One of our strengths is utilizing the latest spring manufacturing and inspection technology.  Additionally, our staff and employees are trained professionals in spring and wire forming manufacturing.    By having a trained staff and employees, we are able to allow decisions to be made at the lowest possible level and foster an atmosphere to seek continuous improvement throughout the organization using the Team approach.

As a service oriented organization, Spring Team, Inc. prides itself on working closely with both suppliers and customers to satisfy marketplace demands.  Furthermore, Spring Team, Inc. is committed to a program of continuous improvement of our goods and services.

Our Management System is designed around the ISO management concept.  In November 1998, we received our ISO 9002:1994 certification.  Since that time, we have successfully maintained our ISO certification.    In 2008, the ISO Quality Management System requirements were revised to create the ISO 9001:2008 requirements.   Once again, we modified our Quality Management System and in May 2009, we successfully received our Certificate of Conformance to ISO 9001:2008.

Spring Team has the capability to produce springs and wire forms (compression, extension, and torsion) from .010 to .250 wire diameter. With the combination of CNC and mechanical equipment, we can manufacture from one piece to millions.
